Medical Rhinoplasty:

Materials and Technique:

The material used is the usual hyaluronic acid, the one that is normally used for the nasogenian furrows.

This material, completely reabsorbable, is really safe and it allows discreetly lasting implants.

Beside, it stimulates the formation of endogenous collagen and elastin that by the time goes by improves the local situation of aging.

It is an absolutely tolerable material, but also useful to slow down the aging.

Normally, not much material is necessary: about half of the phial, I mean half cc., is sufficient for a complete correction.

If you want to correct the nasogenian furrows, a phial of hyaluronic acid is enough.

The technique is very easy and it is done in few minutes.  

The magic is done!

The nose, in few minutes, has been straightened up and it will remain in this way for some months.

Surely, it does not last forever, and so after few months, the reabsorption of the hyaluronic acid will start to show the defect again. Usually, the correction is efficient for 6-8 months.

But meanwhile, the patient will be able to realize if he/she likes his/her nose, or if she/he prefers the previous situation (difficult to tell!). If she/he decides to re-do the implant, then we will be able to use a more lasting gel which will allows less ephemeral results.

However the nose, not moving that much, presents very lasting results.

Conclusions:

Concluding, from the viewpoint of reducing more and more the traumas and the commitment of the patients, I think that this new technique can be considered a real pearl of wisdom!

In particular the immediate results and the absolutely inexistent local trauma make it a very interesting proposal and that is an alternative for surgical correction.

Noses with too accentuated defects can not be treated because they are obviously surgery’s responsibility, but every case of modest entities would be able to be treated without getting to the surgical operation and they will find an easy and adequate correction.
