In recent years, aesthetic medicine has made enormous strides not only in the effectiveness of treatments, but more importantly in their safety.
I have always considered in-depth knowledge of anatomy and clinical experience to be fundamental elements for working properly. Today, however, I have one more tool at my disposal that allows me to be even more precise: high-frequency ultrasound dedicated to aesthetic medicine.
Thanks to specific probes, I can visualize superficial anatomical structures in real time, identify blood vessels, assess the presence of previously injected fillers, and study with greater accuracy the characteristics of the individual patient’s tissues.
This allows me to further personalize treatments and approach them with an even greater level of awareness.
Ultrasound is also an important support in the management of patients who have had treatments in the past, allowing me to check for the presence and location of any materials in the tissues.
This is not a technology that replaces the physician’s expertise, but a tool that complements and reinforces it. As is the case in many other areas of medicine, aesthetic medicine is evolving toward procedures that are increasingly image-driven and supported by advanced diagnostic tools.
This is why I decided to integrate high-frequency ultrasound into my daily clinical practice: because I believe that any innovation that can increase patient safety deserves to be used.
